BYOB Bling in my Art Journal!

Hi All! Summer is in full swing in my home and I love it. Kids are home, I am chauffeuring them about and we are having fun each day. Of course summer I am wearing lots of hats with the kids home all the time so I decided to do an art journal page to share that.

When I was going through my stash I came across one of those fun Want2Scrap products I never used before...I don't know how that happened but I am so glad I decided to play with the BYOB Bling. I mean, how cool is it that all these great shapes are already made for you, it is just a matter of adding them to your project!

I did that by adding a new page to my art journal!

I decided to do a page showing the many hats I wear. I wanted to create a grid design and the perfect way to highlight the grids is pulling out lots of strips of bling and pearls. The different sizes of strips and different textures of rhinestones and pearls create a nice effect.

After I had my grid design I added a flower with a fantastic center from Buttons Galore

The BYOB Bling made it so easy to dress up my flower and the Pink Rhinestone is the perfect way to highlight the center of my button. If you have not tried the BYOB bling, dig in you will really love the versatility of it.

A New Twist on Want2Scrap Mardi Gras Bling!

Hello Everyone! Summer is in full swing and I rarely get into my studio to play. Bummer!  I did force myself to find the time and it made me feel so good to play. Okay, so we all know I love my bling and my borders. I just wanted to show you how versatile they can be...

Bet you did not know all those leaves and the strip at the top are all from just one piece...JUST ONE PIECE of Nina Brackett's Mardi Gras Borders. I cut apart the different pieces to outline the leaves on my clipboard. A touch of ink and black pen really adds a little pizzazz.

My nieces Taylor loves her bling as much a me so I know she will just love this decked out clipboard...a little bling can totally make homework a little more fun!

I used a stamp I picked up on clearance to create the flower border...I went with a monochromatic blue look. I still can't seem to put that Authentique paper down!

In the center of each flower I used lots of rhinestones and pearls...but a new go to for me are the Mother of Pearl 72 Count Rhinestones...they looks awesome! They are not like any other gem I have seen, very cool! It is also subtle but to create the background, I used the Brick Stencil. I am a sucker for a cool stencil and this definitely qualifies as cool!

I hope you are all enjoying your summer!
