Pebbles, Marks Paper Company and a RAK Winner!

I had fun this month playing with some my favorite Pebbles AC and Marks Paper Company goodies. I also challenged myself to dig into some of my stash. I used some rub-ons, overlays, and brads that I have had for quite a while, felt good to use some "oldies but goodies".

I have been waiting for the right layout to use this photo with and here it is. One day Nick picked up a pair of his cousin's sunglasses and put them on. He made this cool, tough face and of course I clicked away. Emeline Seet's challenge this month was to do a layout in our typical style. I am definitely drawn to lots of color and clean strait lines. This layout is one of my new favorites!

I tried to make the layout as "cool" as my son looked. I used a glass to stamp the paint circles and then cut circles to fit into them...a few embellishment...layout complete!

For this next layout I went the opposite of my typical style and distressed quite a bit. Lisa Warren challenged us to use a brown, green, orange, and yellow color scheme. Perfectly fall colors...aren't they?

A few details...

Stacy Marks the owner and creator of all Marks Paper Company goodness is now also a fabulous digi designer at 2 Peas! Big Congrats Stacy! She has posted some amazing kits so be sure to check them out!

Look at this fun new Text Me kit! I am so not a digi girl...but I am hybrid if I find the right kit...and this is the right kit!

I made this layout with a picture of my brother. I don't get to see him as much as I like but I would do anything for him...

I also added some fab pearls from Want2Scrap...these are perfect to add a little detail to your projects!

Don't you love that font that comes with the kit?

Stacy also has another kit available...Hugs & Kisses. I know this was meant to be a Valentines kit...but I loved the papers for Mother's Day!

Last but not least...the winner of the RAK is...tiffanyfarhner ...congrats Tiffany...email your addy to me at mleinbac@verizon.com. I will get you the RAK you saw plus a few more goodies in the mail this week!

Don't fret if you did not win the RAK...I will be doing another one in just a few week! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Introducing Want2Scrap

Want2Scrap is a new company that makes bling, ribbon, acrylic and chipboard products. There store will soon be up and running but keep an eye on the blog for some inspiration and maybe even a DT call in the future. Head over to their blog and sign up as a follower so you don't miss any new upcoming news. Here is a layout I did using their chipboard stars and some fabulous black bling.

This is my adorable niece Adrienne. The stars by Want2Scrap suited this layout perfectly and I decided to dress them up a bit with some spray inks and Want2Scrap bling.

If you would like to try this technique, it is really easy. For the stars I first painted them white then I sprayed both red and blue spray ink on to them. I just popped them up and added a little bling. There you go. A perfect little shooting star!!

What better way to make a layout all American than to add a little denim pocket. I chose to adhere my journaling to the pocket but another idea is to use the pocket to hold some hidden journaling, a card or a note.

We have had quite the snow event in our area. Over the last few days we have gotten over 4 feet
of snow...check out some of these pictures!

Thanks...to whoever created the snow blower...

My little snow babies...

Jack

Nick

and even Lucy...who loves the snow...was a bit overwhelmed by this!

Thanks so much for stopping by...check back soon and I will have some fun Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker and Pebbles AC projects to share this week.

More scrappy stuff!

We were actually pretty busy this last week, but I did not sleep much...my insomnia was bad so I got some late night/early morning scrapping done. I actually dug into some of my stamps this time...shocking I know and I even had fun with them...This first layout is of my SIL and I when we ran the Marine Corp Marathon.

This next layout is of my son Nick! He still amazes me every day...if you click on the photo you can get a good look at the journaling...as I wrote he is not like MOST PEOPLE!

I made my own background paper by stamping the background and using clear embossing powder.

I just love this photo of my son Jack walking through the blueberry bushes.

A few details...

I stamped a pattern onto acrylic inchies with Staz On ink.

I know this is not a great picture but it was the middle of the night so it will have to work for now. I used the January kit from I AM A Scrapaholic. This is my neice Livi...and she has SPUNK!

A few details...

Thanks so much for stopping by...Happy February!

I AM A Scrapaholic January kit!

When I saw these papers online I fell in love and set out to track them down. After emailing with the talented Heidi over at GCD and finding out the nearest store was over an hour for me I was a bit bummed. Then Lynn at I AM A Scrapaholic swooped in with her hero cape and saved the day packing this months kit full of these gorgeous papers. I must say this is my favorite kit EVER!!!!

I also received the Therapy Kit which included this amazing 24x12 canvas. I had never done anything like this before and really do not consider my self to be artsy so I was a bit intimidated...then Lynn said "It really is just a big page"! So off I set to do just a "big page".

I dry brushed paint onto the canvas background. I also printed out my title on cardstock and hand cut it out.

Here are a few details...the flowers in this kit are gorgeous too!

Snag this kit while you can...It will go quickly!

I also want to give a very large shout out to the new members of the Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker DT. Be sure to check out the new talented Diva's that are joining the team! I am really excited to be working with you all! Congrats ladies!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
