Nikki's Goodness!

Yes, my bad! Somehow I missed my Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker post. Well glad I realized it... but of course one was for St. Patrick's Day so...I will take the luck for next year!

Here is Jack looking so darn cute after winning some awards at a horse show. Yep, a little luck goes into that but even more is the time and practice he puts into it! Like I said, You create your own luck!

Some details...

I know more Burlap Buttons. They are just a staple for me! I also added a little Want2Scrap bling and acrylic!

I was not blessed with little girls but am lucky enough to have 6 nieces to fill that "pink"void! LOL Here are 2 of them...

You gotta love how darn cute the Beatrice line and my nieces are .

Prettiest trees I ever saw...well thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs all!

Pebbles, Pebbles, and More Pebbles!

I am a lucky girl! I get to work with all the Pebbles I want, Woo Hoo! I have a few layouts to share and some fun links too...so here we go!

Lynn challenged us to scraplift someone on the team...when I saw this layout by Krissi Ng I did not have to look any further. I adore this layout and think it is just perfect in every way. Awesome use of white space but colorful too, love how she journaled around the outside of the layout...like I said perfect!

Here is my scraplift...

Just a few details...

Well, since I am ready for spring...time for a Pebbles Spring LO too!

There is nothing like a release named Happy Go Lucky to make me feel just like that! Now I am really ready for Spring!

Now for a fun way to see the Pebbles lines check out these videos of Happy Go Lucky, Mr. & Mrs., and Ever After. What a brilliant idea!

Last but not least I hear Pebbles has a fun Twitter following. I am not a Tweeter but check it out if you are. I hear they have great tips and some fun ideas for scrapping!

Scrapping outside the box with Scarlet Lime and Traditions Studios!

I am a layout girl, pure and simple! Every now and again though I come across a fun product and want to change things up a bit. I don't know about you but I am a list maker...grocery, errands, to do, scrappy projects...you name it I have a list for it. So when Traditions Studio sent me this adorable Post-it Notes Holder I knew I would use it every day. I pulled out some of my favorite pictures of the boys and some goodies from both of March's Scarlet Lime Kits and made this simple project with scraps that I love sitting on my kitchen counter waiting for my next list to be made.

One of the fun things about this holder is that you can open the lid and also add a little photo to the inside as well.

So next time you have a handful of scraps sitting around remember that you can create something just this adorable that you will see each day...oh, yeah...and these would make the cutest teacher and grandparent gifts too.

Not Your Typical Domestic Godess...

I am not one to do layouts about myself unless I have to for an assignment...but this time I decided to do just that! I am glad I did because I also have my own story and every now and again I want to tell it. Yep, I am a stay at home mom, who helps with my in-laws business, is a total soccer mom, and wife to a wonderful hubby. But I have done things that make me special and every now and again it helps me remember that I am me and not just a mom and wife.

I pulled out tons of color for this layout...I loved the base of black and white but used several colors of bling from Want2Scrap and a variety of fun papers.

I also just adore the pearls from Want2Scrap. I love that they come in several sizes in each pack and I don't have to be stingy because there is so many in every package.

Can't go wrong with the gems either...I actually just used gems to cover circles of the same color that were on the pattern paper...what a great way to add texture and shine...and no drying time!

Well thanks for letting me share a little about myself!

I also want to let you know that Want2Scrap is going to be in Portland, Oregon this coming weekend...March 25-26th for the Creating Keepsakes Convention. I love the CK Conventions...whenever they come to town it is a retail therapy weekend for me so be sure to get your scrap shopping done in Portland this weekend!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Scarlet Limes March Main Kit...Fabulous!

Have you seen March's Main Kit from Scarlet Lime? If not you are totally missing out! Spring has sprung and I can't say enough about it.

Some of my favorites...Studio Calico, Jillibean Soup, and Crate Paper...need I say more?

This is one of my all time favorite pictures...my handsome boys, my niece, and my Mom all together. We had such a fun day.

So many awesome embellishments in this kit!

I also love to alter little tins. I do it all the time. I swear one of the reasons I love my Bedhead Manipulator so much is because it comes in these great containers.

This is such a fun mix of products.

I just love the look of these butterflies sprayed with ink and layered.

Come on back in a day or so and I will be sharing my projects from the March Frugal Fab Kit...Fab, just like its name!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

I am not a card girl but...

every now and again the need arises and I need some cards. I consider myself a scrapper not much of a card maker but of course if you are a scrapper everyone expects you to make homemade cards...so the pressure builds...and I do it. Yep, I made some cards.

First off I wanted to send Spellbinder's a thank you card for all their generousity to me and our Want2Scrap Family.

I used these great label dies and added some of the Baby Pearls. They were the perfect size for this and I love that I don't have to worry about running out since there are 100 pieces in each pack...for only $1.40.

Since I was already making cards I created this one to have on hand using another die and some of the Nestabling. The new Nestabling will be available on April 1st...keep and eye out!

Well the deed is done, my cards are made and I can go back to my scrapping, lol!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Simple tissue paper technique with Scarlet Lime!

Hi all, I posted this technique at the Scarlet Lime blog and wanted to share it here with you too! Scrapping for me comes on several levels. Some days I just want to sit and scrap...fun, easy layouts with no deadlines to worry about. Sometimes it is a specially requested layout and I have certain parameters I need to meet. Other days I just want to dig in and get my hands dirty...today was one of those days.I want to share a technique that is fun and easy but adds a great look to any layout.

Here is what you need...

SL Blog 1

Some chipboard shapes, these stars are from Want2Scrap, tissue paper, a liquid adhesive, spray ink, and some sort of crushed glass.

First I added some dry adhesive to the star and covered that with small bits of tissue paper.

SL Blog 2

Next a few spritzes of spray ink. Allow it to dry.

SL Blog 3

Next cover your chipboard pieces with a liquid adhesive and sprinkle with the crushed glass. Allow it to dry.

Sl Blog 4

The finished product...

SL Blog 5

Now add it to your layout...the perfect handmade embellishment!
