Time to play...

I made time to play this week. Yep, and this is what I made. I took this picture of my niece Adrienne on her second birthday and finally scrapped it. I just love this picture with the focus on the cake and candle yet you still see her blurred in the background!

Here is a detail shot of the biggest flower:

And one of the journaling spots from Creative Chaos Etsy. Jenn's goodies are addicting and I just can't get enough.

I made this new LO for Marks Paper Company. I combined both collections and was thrilled with how well they go together! I scrapped this photo before but I love it so much. I did a series of photos with my Mom, my boys and their cousin Gabi and everyone of them is my favoite, he he he! There will be another giveaway soon. I will be sure to let you know which one of my fellow DTers is up next.

A few details:

BoBunny sponsered the paper team this month at One Single Seed. I made this cute little tag with the U Bug Me line and think it will look great on a kraft colored gift bag.

Coming up on March 29th Amy Teets will be doing a chat at I AM A Scrapaholic, stop by and check it out. Her new line is so pretty. Here is a little bit of a mini I made using the kit from this month.

My SIL Susan just finished the first giveaway on her blog but don't be disappointed if you did not win she will be doing 3 more in the next 3 weeks so add her to your favorites and check back each week for your chance to win something from her shop! Congrats Angel!

My son Jack has been bugging us like crazy for that butterfly set he keeps seeing advertised on TV. For his birthday we decided to surprise him with a Butterfly Kit. We are having so much fun checking them each day for changes. It really is an awesome project to do with kids. The whole family is loving it and I know we will do this again.

I really appreciate you all for coming back each week and checking out my new goodies. I love being inspired by all of you and just wanted to say thanks for stopping by!

So proud...

Check out what my little guy Jack did today!!!!

He rode in his first big horse show today. My mom warned him going in these are all good riders and not to be upset if he did not place. Well guess what! Not only did he place in every class he rode in, he even took a first in the walk, trot class...How about that? Some of the classes were as as deep as 11 riders.

We are so very proud of him!

In the scrappy world I did the DT project of the month for Marks Paper Company.

For Easter this year instead of giving my mom flowers I decided to alter this Maya Road Chipboard box and mini album. She has 8 grandchildren and there were 8 pages in the mini. For the box I covered it in papers from the Old Fashion Courtship Collection and embellished with trim, a flower with leaves and a gem. The top of the box is cover with crystals. All the edges are inked to add a more homespun feel.

Each page has a similar design and a black and white photo of each child. On the back of each page it says, I love my Mom-Mom because... The kids each wrote why they loved her and signed their name. The front of each page of the mini is inked and then on each side is a 2 x 2 inch piece of paper. They are embellished each with a flower and crystals. I also added a little ribbon to soften the project a bit.

My SIL is doing a super easy giveaway on her blog, check it out here. Of course I had to have this. And I bought this for his teacher. Great teacher appreciation gift, don't you think? Be sure to stop by and put your entry in for the prize of your choice.

Be sure to stop by One Single Seed paper kits are 50% off or more. Now is a great time to stock up!

I am a Scrapaholic is having a chat with Amy Teets on March 29. Stop by to message board to join in on the fun!

Jenn Stevens is back with a new shop name. Creative Choas...Don't you love it? So perfect! Check out the new editions to her shop...super cute as usual!

Thanks for stopping by!

Good Friends...

that is what I have. I went out to dinner with Mary, Rachael, and Tracy tonight. As usual we laughed, laughed some more, and even more. We ate, drank, and then laughed some more. I just count myself so lucky to have these wonderful and talented ladies in my life. Thanks for the wonderful gifts, the great time and your friendship...it means the world to me.

I played again in my scrappy room and created this LO.

You have to check out the journaling spots at My Creative Mess. Since joining Jenn's DT I have a hard time not adding one of her cute little creations to each one of my layouts.

One of the things I love about this LO is it is a bit of old and new...used some of my stash and played with some new goodies. I just got and am loving Alexis Hardy's Heartstrings line by Dream Street. Now I only wish I had bought more.

Happy mail came yesterday in the form of a great DT kit from I Am A Scrapaholic...you will love this fresh, springy kit filled with Amy Teets Dreamstreet line.

Over at One Single Seed they are adding to their Digi CT so if you are interested check it out quick there are only a few more days left for the call.

BoBunny sponsored the team this month and I am looking forward to digging into their new U Bug Me line...perfect for this mom of 2 boys!

Thanks for stopping by and happy scrapping!
